PICKY DESIGNS is run by William Pickford, a young designer from Cheshire, UK. Fresh out of university he has spent the last three years exploring, developing and refining his skills ready to launch into industry. During this time, William has worked on both university and independent freelance projects.
William is dedicated and passionate, characteristics he brings to all aspects of his life. So when not working, he dedicates his time to personal wellbeing and sports, with a keen interest in football and weightlifting. William is also an avid techlover and is constantly exploring new technologies, the latest of which is the VR world of the Oculus Quest 2.
William prides himself on his business mindset. He brings this into his design practice, smoothly combining his A Level business education into a broad and well rounded design repertoire. The most important skills he has developed during his time at Salford University are; communication, teamwork, project management, creativity and organisation. He attributes the success of his design work to the way he integrates these skills into every project.
William has explored many aspects of design during University and through his projects has developed a focus on User Experience Design, branding and front end web and app design. However William's love of new technology has led to him following new paths into VR and AR production and creation, skills he will continue to develop and explore in the post graduate world.
